TOUCHWOOD PLANTS Terms and Conditions
Carrie promises honesty and integrity in all dealings with all customers. I hope to keep website updated, but cannot be sure of doing so. Any information here or in any other adverts or publicity is an invitation to treat, rather than an offer.
GUARANTEE I fully expect you to enjoy a good germination from my seeds. If that is not the case, please let me know, for either information and advice, replacement seed or a credit note. But when you do get good results…please tell your friends and let them benefit from good seed of cottage garden, rare and unusual plants at a brilliant price!!
Payment may be by cash, postal order, or cheque, and is usually made in £ sterling (contact Carrie regarding payment options from overseas). Touchwood also takes credit card or debit card payments as well as Paypal payments. Payment for products will usually be on or before receiving, or postage of the products. Payment for services such as gardening, giving talks, running workshops, writing features etc, will usually be paid on receiving the service. Prices may change from time to time, and publishing in this website is not to be taken as actual cost as Carrie reserves right to increase prices if necessary. Package and postage costs are given as UK delivery addresses, and may fluctuate from time to time as the Post Office changes their prices. For non-UK shipping, please contact Carrie regarding costs and payment options. EU p&p costs, for example, are usually double the UK rate.
NON DELIVERY. I always get proof of posting from my post office, so you can claim from Royal Mail in the case of non-delivery (note, basically I cannot claim for you, as Royal Mail say my home-harvested plants and seeds have no value as I didn't pay for them! When you claim you should get the full cost of your order refunded.). Unfortunately Royal Mail asks that you wait about 3 weeks before they agree that anything had not been delivered. Within their stipulated time, plants can die when too long in the post, and there is no redress possible. However, I am in awe of the postal service, plants sent 1st class are usually there the next day: amazing! You can pay for extra insurance, eg signed-for delivery. You can also pay extra and choose 'next day delivery', but please be aware that actual postal costs are extremely high for this service (2009: over £5, and over £7 for a Saturday delivery on a lightweight jiffy-bag!).
You undertake to pay the agreed cost and to keep any agreed appointments wherever possible, or to provide at least 24 hours advance notice of any need to rearrange appointments where a change is absolutely necessary. Carrie will give as much advance notice as possible for any changes that she might make.
If any plant fails to thrive (or seeds fail to germinate), please contact Carrie for information, advice or replacement as relevant. In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied, Touchwood will refund a mutually agreed fair amount, or provide other support. In reality, it’s expected that you will be delighted with the products and service. Due to the nature of the products, Touchwood Flower Essences,
Kombucha and DVDs may not usually be returned. If you are not delighted with any other product, please contact Carrie to discuss options.

However, please will you check (online search for your customs) that what you order is ALLOWED by your customs, otherwise the seeds may be seized & destroyed. I cannot check each and every nation's rules myself, so I must leave it as your responsibility, as you will be the one who loses out if anything doesn't get through. It is easy to check that you comply rather than shed tears at any losses. For my part, I am willing to do any extra work necessary for your customs' requirements, and not charge you anything extra. eg, Norway ONLY allows 50 packets of seeds in at a time.
